How to Save Snapchat Videos on iPhone and Android

You can save public Snapchat stories, highlights and Spotlight videos to your phone with just your browser. Here's how on both iPhone and Android.

Start downloading

1. Find the profile

Open this site in Safari or Chrome and type the username, or paste the profile link (snapchat.com/add/username). Only public profiles and creators work.

2. Tap Download

Pick the Story, Highlights or Spotlight tab, tap a video to watch it, then tap Download under it. Videos save as MP4, photos as JPG.

On iPhone: move it to Photos

Safari saves downloads to the Files app, in the Downloads folder. Open the video there, tap the Share button, then tap Save Video. It now shows up in Photos.

On Android: it's already in your files

Chrome saves to the Download folder. You'll find the video in the Files app, and most phones also show it in Google Photos or the Gallery app.

If a download doesn't work

Snapchat's links expire after a while. If you see "This link expired", search for the username again to get fresh links.

Stories disappear after 24 hours on Snapchat, so a snap you saw yesterday may be gone. Highlights and Spotlight videos stay longer.
